Our Referral Partners tend to fall into a few major categories:
-
Legal Practitioners ~ in the main we perceive our legally qualified Referral Partners as having similar motivations to Accountants. Additionally, the relationship with SMSF Loans* and it's ability to ensure compliant lending transactions to SMSF's would appear a strong motivator.
-
Property Specialists ~ professional Property Groups and Investment Property sales people have recognised that, while ASIC may not yet have come to terms with how to 'police' their industry, there is little doubt that they often operate in an environment where Financial Advice is required or "implied". Both Client care and risk mitigation would appear to dictate the need for investment property to be offered in an advice framework. This is again especially true where a SMSF is involved ~ as the establishment of a Fund and rollover of assets is very clearly governed by the need for "replacement advice" for both the Superannuation and any associated insurances.
-
Finance and Mortgage Brokers ~ tend to find themselves establishing referral relationships with many of the aforementioned groups. Brokers are equally looking to expand their Practices to include a more holistic financial services offering. In doing so many unwittingly stray into the provision of (unlicensed) Advice with monotonous regularity. The more forward thinking and professional individuals and groups have identified this reality and, in order to best protect themselves and their Clients, have identified the need to 'outsource' certain components of their Client offering. By forming empowering Referral relationships they avoid the need to try and be a "jack of all trades" but are still able to offer their Clients a much broader service and maintain the all important Client relationship.
There is a formal, but straightforward, accreditation process that must be undertaken before you can refer business to I-Plan. If you are not yet accredited ~ please CLICK HERE to complete an Expression of Interest Form and we'll be in touch shortly.

Client Information About our Service
The following information is extracted from our Client information page:
I-Plan Financial Planning has been created to ensure that our Clients, and the Clients of our Referral Partners, benefit from three key approaches to the provision of Financial Advice.
Our first key focus is to ensure that our Clients receive a truly holistic advice service across all asset classes - including direct property investment.
There are many Financial Planners who claim to give holistic advice ~ however if they are "not permitted" to give advice on direct property investment and/or Self Managed Superannuation or they do not have the requisite skills or knowledge to do so then it can hardly be considered to be holistic advice.
While any sensibly constructed Financial Plan must encompass a variety of Asset Classes in order to achieve diversification and risk minimisation ~ it is equally true that the majority of Australia's wealth is tied up in Real Estate. Any Financial Plan that fails to address direct property investment (especially where the Client indicates a preference for it) cannot by definition be holistic.
The second key consideration is that of Advice free from influence by the vested interests of large institutions or "product manufacturers".
In partnering with HNW Planning, I-Plan has ensured that it is part of a 'non-aligned' group. That is, there is no ownership, shareholding or influence by the Big Banks or Large Life Insurance companies.
The third key component is that of our "fee for service" model.
By charging you a fee for our professional services you can be sure that we are working in your best interests and not in order to derive a commission from the "highest bidder".
The receipt of commissions by Financial Advisers is an area that has been highly contentious for some time now - but we see the solution as straight forward.
We charge a very competitive fee for service and rebate any commissions we receive from any and all investments that we recommend and implement on your behalf.
The practical upshot is that we are not therefore influenced by commissions and in many cases the commission that we rebate back to our Clients is the same as, or more than, the cost of our services hence many Clients effectively receive our services for FREE.
I-Plan has a particular emphasis on supporting the needs of SMSF Trustees and Members and, together with its 'sister company' SMSF Loans*, is uniquely positioned to take advantage of the many tax-effective and leveraged strategies available to SMSF Trustees and their Advice Teams.
Our Financial Planners have significant industry experience - including the ability to advise on Self Managed and other Superannuation. Our Head of Advice, as well as having done significant additional studies in Self Managed Superannuation, is also a qualified Accountant (CPA) and registered Tax Agent. CLICK HERE for more details.
We believe the additional skill sets and professionalism of our Planners and Para-planners allows them to provide a far more robust, holistic, and seamless Advice service to our Clients.
* SMSF Loans and I-Plan Financial Planning are both wholly-owned subsidiaries of the I-Financial Group
